The National Education Alliance establishes partnerships with colleges, universities and other healthcare institutions to advance the careers of healthcare professionals and to help address the nation’s nursing shortage. One of the core components of the program’s partnerships is leveraging the learning platform of Rue Education, one of the nation’s largest and most experienced providers of independent educational learning services for healthcare professionals. Rue Education’s team of educators and academic support professionals – all possessing doctoral or master’s degrees – research the level of knowledge required to comprehend each subject and pass standardized final exams. A tailored curriculum is then formulated for each student encompassing blended media and academic support.

The Rue Total Learning System
The cornerstone of our academic philoso-phy is the Rue Total Learning System, which was developed to address the need for a learning paradigm that would benefit professional, working adults who have limited time to invest in their education. The Rue Total Learning System combines online and offline self-paced study with hands-on training including clinical workshops, study communities, and tutor-led classes.
Based on the SQ3R reading and study skill system of directed learning, our system builds an interactive relationship among the three major human senses that are vital to retention. It also addresses the three forces that impact student success in higher education:
|
- Cognitive: a student's academic strengths and weaknesses.
- Social: a student’s ability to interact effectively with others, their personal attitudes, and their cultural history.
- Institutional: The institution's practices, strategies and culture that impact student outcomes.
Rue Education develops learning solutions for organizations that want to introduce new online course content, enhance course delivery with academically proven online learning technologies and pedagogy, and enroll students who have a demonstrated record of achievement and commitment.
