Nevada Fire Chiefs Association Makes Going Back to College Easier

December 15, 2010

Tampa Bay, FL (December 15, 2010) — The Nevada Fire Chiefs Association (NFCA) announced today that they have become an Affiliate Member of the National Education Alliance. All NFCA members will be given free membership in the National Education Alliance which entitles them to receive discounts and special pricing offered to its members by the National Education Alliance.

One of the premiere benefits to the National Education Alliance members is a discount on the College Counseling Center. The online counseling center opens the doors for adult learners who wish to continue their education and achieve their degree for the least amount of money, in the shortest time possible, without sacrificing their commitment to their family or career.

The College Counseling Center allows potential college students access to a database of hundreds of colleges and universities with one application. The program will search the online database to find the college or university that best fits their needs for the degree of their choice. Students receive degree plans that rank the colleges according to cost, time and highest level of transferrable credit from previous colleges; including, credit by examination, military service, certificates and on the job training. "Most college-bound students are using Google to search for choices in higher education, which limits them to the college or university with the largest marketing budget," said Shara Wright, President of the National Education Alliance. "The College Counseling Center levels the playing field for accredited colleges by providing them an opportunity to reach more students with their programs. Students and employers can now save tuition dollars by finding the degree program that fits their needs."

The College Counseling Center also provides students with the best available options to earn their degree in the least amount of time. Never before have students had the ability to comparison shop institutions in a meaningful way. Which colleges will accept my 20-year-old English Composition course? Who recognizes life experience as college credit? How many courses can I test out of? By answering these questions, individuals can make a truly informed decision about where they can attend college in the shortest amount of time, and for the least amount of money. There is no guessing or research required, since the evaluation also outlines an exact list of courses the student can complete through credit by examination.

"Most people spend up to $100 per college to receive a transcript evaluation. The College Counseling Center provides the student with the ability to mine the databases of hundreds of colleges, which averages less than $1 per college. The College Counseling Center also provides a counselor after the student chooses a college to assist in the creation of a customized degree plan," said Josh Williams, Senior Vice President of the National Education Alliance.

"If you know any working adults who are looking to go back to college and have some college credit and on-the-job training or prior military service, the College Counseling Center will provide them the best available options in minutes, saving them time and money by empowering them with information tailored to their exact situation," added Williams.
